Leading manufacturer of BOPP used in a variety packaging operations. They are seeking a Technical Service Engineer to support their sales efforts. In this role you will provide technical support to identify new opportunities and support their clients continuing demands for innovative product solutions. Additionally, you will lead the effort to investigate product problems and provide solutions.
Responsibilities
· Provide customers technical services, providing solutions to solve customer issues.
· Improve existing products to meet customers performance requirements.
· Develop new products as requested to meet customer specifications.
· Test alternate raw materials that can help reduce product cost.
· Help develop customer specifications and conduct product trails.
· Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
· A Bachelor’s Degree prefer an Engineering discipline
· 2-5 years of experience in with flexible packaging preferring experience with BOPP, and or PET and or PE. Would also consider experience with film lamination, coating and printing
· Proficiency in process optimization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement methodologies, with Six Sigma, Kaizen, and/or LEAN certifications/belts preferred.
· The ability to travel as required 50% mostly southeast USA, Midwest and Northeast
