Role Description: Technical Sales Consultant (Contract)
Are you passionate about renewable energy and eager to make a significant impact in the industry? GridVest Partners is seeking a dynamic Technical Sales Consultant to join our team and work directly with GridVest’s Managing Partner. This contractor role offers the flexibility to work remotely, with a once per week visit to our Sausalito, CA office.
As a Technical Sales Consultant, you will:
- Generate new leads at conferences, events, and through direct outreach to target customers.
- Build relationships of existing customers and leads and help to bring transactions to close.
- Review and negotiate purchase agreements with customers.
- Assess customer needs and provide tailored equipment recommendations.
- Review technical drawings and single- line diagrams to understand unique project needs.
- Create quotes for Microgrid and Battery Energy Storage Systems.
- Support in industry research and content creation for marketing purposes.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Previous experience in a sales or consulting role is essential.
- Knowledge of Microgrid and Battery Energy Storage Systems is highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred.
The contract will start as a four-month commitment with the possibility of joining as a full-time team member at the end of the term. Compensation is negotiable based on experience and number of hour desired (open to duscuss from 20-40 hours per week). Additional commision based compensation possible as well.
