Job Description

We are currently looking for a Technical Project and Program Manager, Broadband Grants to join our growing team! In this role, you will report to the Vice President Regulatory, Compliance and Broadband Office, as we work to attract hundreds of millions of dollars in state and federal grants to Brightspeed under the U.S. government’s Broadband, Equity, Accessibility and Deployment (BEAD) and various other state and federal broadband grant programs. You will play a critical role in managing and directing the technical project plans for grant application analysis and submissions and the overall broadband grant application process, protecting the company’s strategic build plan through challenges and broadband reporting, across Brightspeed’s 20-state operating footprint. You will need experience in project management, data analytic software, excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills, leadership and management skills as well as the ability to adapt in a rapidly changing and fast-paced environment. You will be working cross functionally with other business units, requiring demonstrated skills in coaching, influencing, problem-solving and collaboration.

As a Technical Project and Program Manager, Broadband Grants, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Provide project management for the Broadband Grant Office on all aspects of the broadband grant program, including submission of applications, challenges, grant reporting
  • Serve as lead project manager for the broadband grant team for the technical project plans needed for applications and broadband regulatory filings.
  • Work with members of the Broadband Office as required to provide and communicate complex matters regarding broadband grant programs, including tracking metrics, preparing materials for executive briefings and business analyses
  • Provide direction and project management on technical aspects relating to our programs, including address including address reporting and management associated with reporting for Rural Digital Opportunity Fund (RDOF), grant compliance and other address related programs
  • Support the Broadband Grant Office to deliver complex messages clearly and persuasively to regulators, government stakeholders in multiple states and technical/business audiences


Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • 5+ years or more of relevant work experience, preferably with experience in state or federal broadband grant programs and/or telecommunication regulatory filings
  • Management experience
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills
  • Strong project management, database management, and organizational are essential
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, collegial, project-driven team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional environment


BONUS POINTS FOR:

  • Familiarity with government broadband grant programs and evaluation criteria.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Monday.com, JIRA
