What’s the position?

As a Technical Leader for the Reporting Team, your responsibility is to bridge the product vision and technical implementation. You will work closely with the product teams and cross-functional groups to align technical solutions with business goals, engineering best practices, and compliance requirements. Your role includes overseeing technical aspects, ensuring code quality, delivery, and compliance while driving innovation and maintaining a deep understanding of our technology stack.

Responsibilities

Product Understanding

• Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to understand and translate product vision into technical specifications.
• Maintain a deep understanding of the technology stack and infrastructure ensuring alignment with the overall technical and product strategies.
• Work with vendors and third-party providers to ensure the smooth development of our services.

Collaboration and Management

• Lead a technical team, providing clear direction and priorities.
• Ensure integration and interoperability between various components.
• Establish and monitor KPIs and metrics for team performance.
• Provide performance feedback and coaching to team members.
• Address obstacles hindering team performance.

Regulatory and Compliance

• Ensure technical solutions meet legal, financial, and regulatory requirements.
• Stay updated on relevant regulations and compliance standards, integrating them into the development process as necessary.

Technical Guidance

• Guide the team in making informed decisions and addressing technical challenges.
• Ensure technical integrity and alignment with business goals.

Continuous Improvement

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and adopt best practices.
• Monitor industry trends and technological advancements for enhancement opportunities.

What are we looking for?

• Proven experience as a Technical Lead or similar leadership roles in a fast-paced IT environment, preferably with hands-on experience.
• Bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Prior experience working in an online Sportsbook and/or Casino environment including a solid understanding of regulatory and financial compliance.
• Proficiency in building reporting frameworks and features (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, ad-hoc).
• Strong analytical skills for mitigation strategy implementation.
• Experience collaborating with regulators, finance departments, auditors, and third-party vendors.
• Sound knowledge of Snowflake, Apache Airflow/Astronomer, dbt. Hands-on experience with the abovementioned products will be advantageous.
• Technical knowledge of Amazon AWS and CI/CD tools will be advantageous.
