Job Title: Technical Lead

Work Location: Remote

Clearance Required: Public Trust

Responsibilities

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Monitor technical tasks and provide regular updates to the Project Manager regarding progress, problems, and achievements.
  • Anticipate potential issues and proactively work to mitigate them to ensure project success.

Technical Direction

  • Provide technical direction for the entire systems development effort as a team or project leader.
  • Serve as a technical authority in specific design areas, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.

Problem Resolution

  • Act as a staff specialist or consultant to resolve unique and challenging systems problems using innovative approaches and new technologies.
  • Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.

Project Management

  • Ensure that tasks are completed within estimated time frames and budget constraints.
  • Schedule and assign duties to team members, ensuring efficient use of resources.

Stakeholder Interaction

  • Interact with government management personnel and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide updates on project status.
  • Report progress and issues in both written and oral formats to contractor management and government representatives, including the government contracting officer.

Required Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering)
  • 10 years of professional experience in technical roles, with proven leadership capabilities
  • Strong technical background with expertise in systems development and implementation
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Leadership abilities with the capacity to provide technical direction and guidance to team members
  • Project management skills, including the ability to manage schedules, budgets, and resources effectively
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with stakeholders and reporting progress
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when necessary
  • Adaptability and flexibility to respond to changing project requirements and priorities

Note: This position requires a candidate with a solid technical foundation, leadership experience, and excellent communication skills. The Technical Lead will play a crucial role in overseeing the technical aspects of projects, resolving challenges, and ensuring successful project outcomes within established constraints.
