Job Summary

This career opportunity is with VRIZE Digital Engineering team. Digital Engineering provides solutions and implementation to VRIZE customers in the Retail, consumer goods, Banking and insurance verticals.

The Digital Engineering team is currently looking for highly motivated and self-driven individuals to function as account architects providing technical leadership and direction to both internal project teams as well as in large enterprise initiatives being undertaken by the customer, eventually to become an advisor to the CXO/VP/Director leadership within the customer organization.

As an enterprise architect, you will be primary responsible for the following initiatives:

• Identify the current state of the enterprise in the client organization, technologies that are being used supported by the business value.
• Understand the digital transformation programs planned and that are in-flight currently.
• Provide technical leadership guidance and mentoring support to the project teams.
• Provide insights for digital programs planned in the future to the customer leadership team for planning.
• Proactively identify industry trends and provide strategic and tactical insights to customer leadership team of potential opportunities.

Skills required:

Domain understanding: Good experience with various biz functions of retailer business and an understanding of business and IT challenges faced is a must. Experience in QSR and Retail domain would be an advantage.

Enterprise Architecture: Sound end-to-end understanding of the various IT systems within the enterprise landscape of a retailer. Experience in working closely with the Digital transformation team within customer organization to define transformation strategy, governance model, definition of architecture/technologies/tools etc for execution to align with business vision and objectives is a must.

Strategic Consulting engagements (Sponsored by CIO / CTO / VP): Undertaken consulting engagements focused on Digital strategy aligned with business vision and objectives for Digital transformation. This typically spans across Migration to Cloud, Cloud Native architecture definition and realization, Data Driven Solutions, User Experience Enablement etc.

Digital Architecture: Well versed in various architectural models (Microservices, Data Mesh, Event Driven, Message Driven, Micro front-end etc.) in building Digital Platforms.

Data Driven Architecture: Experience in implementing Data ingestion using various technologies, Data Lakes, Real time ETL and Data warehouse, Real time data Analytics, Modern Streaming architecture using Kafka and stream processing frameworks, Data Mesh solutions.

Cloud Native Architecture: Experience in Microservices architecture on AWS/Azure/GCP using Cloud native platforms and various types of open-source and COTS platforms and frameworks.

Product Platforms: High level understanding of the various product vendors like Salesforce, Oracle, SAP etc. and the business function they support in an enterprise, including an understanding of data flows, integration with other applications/packages etc.

Agile Methodology: Well versed with various ceremonies of agile methodology.

DevOps: Experience in implementing DevOps solutions across any of cloud providers – AWS/Azure/GCP or using COTS/OSS platforms.

Security: Understanding of various security implementation measures in Cloud Native architecture.

Qualifications Required

The following qualifications are desired in all candidates:

• Bachelor’s degree / master’s degree in computer science from a top university is a must
• Over 15-20 years of experience in the IT preferably in the Retail industry.
• Significant experience in interacting with and presenting to executive leadership team.
• Excellent experience and skills in Digital Strategy, architecture and implementation covering various technologies and tools.
• Experience in Retail architecture on one or more retail functions such as store systems, POS, e-Commerce, pricing, inventory management etc.
