Requirements of position

• High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education or certification in food processing, management, or related fields is preferred.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish)
• Experience in food processing environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Proficient in problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
• Solid organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  
  

Responsibilities of position

You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of a production team engaged in processing salmon. You will ensure that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

• Directly supervise a team of production workers engaged in various stages of salmon processing, including but not limited to cleaning, filleting, packaging, and quality control.
• Monitor and maintain quality standards throughout the production process, including adherence to hygiene, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Train new employees on processing techniques, safety procedures, and quality standards. Provide ongoing coaching and support to enhance team performance.
• Address and resolve operational issues promptly, including equipment malfunctions, supply shortages, and quality concerns, to minimize disruptions to production.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies. Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.
• Collaborate effectively with other team leads, supervisors, managers, and suppliers to coordinate activities, communicate goals, and address any cross-functional issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize production processes. Implement and support initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity and profitability.
• Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and high morale. Lead by example and encourage a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement among team members.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and address any performance issues or disciplinary matters in accordance with company policies and procedures.
