InfraRed is part of SLC Management, the institutional alternatives and traditional asset management business of Sun Life. InfraRed represents the infrastructure equity arm of SLC Management, which also incorporates BGO, a global real estate investment management adviser, and Crescent Capital, a global alternative credit investment asset manager.


Position Overview

Our NYC based team is seeking a Receptionist /Team Assistant to join in a role where you will provide extensive and comprehensive administration support to a team of investment professionals.


The ideal person for this role enjoys taking a proactive approach, providing administrative and organisational support to assist with day to day business management (i.e. organisation of internal meetings, transaction signoffs, ensuring compliance with internal policies and processes) working in a small team environment.


Key Job Responsibilities

  • Provide a full reception service, handling all incoming telephone calls and greeting guests / visitors
  • Provide secretarial and administration support
  • Maintain appropriate stock of office supplies (i) monitor stock levels (ii) unpack office supplies when delivered (iii) maintain neat and workable office supply cupboard
  • Work with central function teams to ensure teams complete internal processes and provide required information in a timely fashion
  • Plan and organise travel arrangements for the team with appropriate authorisation and take responsibility for ensuring arrangements meet requested requirements, especially pertinent for group travel
  • Diary management including scheduling meetings and taking responsibility for meeting logistics (conference calls, rooms, refreshments etc.)
  • Help to maintain records of important project related documentation (electronic and hard copy).
  • Record maintenance and filing
  • Engage with the wider team as required, to plan and budget for conference attendances throughout the year and take responsibility for bookings/organising travel and accommodation
  • Manage and update relevant databases
  • First point of contact for internal queries
  • As part of the PA team provide absence cover and help out where needed
  • Input into quarterly travel management review meetings
  • Project work on an ad hoc basis


Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven track record in an Administrative position in a professional environment.
  • Proficient in use of Word, PowerPoint and a working knowledge of Excel.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to deal with and effectively manage senior team members.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a deadline driven environment.
  • Detail orientated and thorough.
  • Strong administrative and organisation skills:
  • Able to manage competing demands efficiently and effectively.


The base salary range offered for this position is between $75,000 - 85,000 per annum. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
