Position Overview
We are seeking passionate individuals dedicated to supporting students in achieving their full potential. Collaborate with lead teachers to plan and implement enriching learning experiences that promote intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development. Join a dynamic team committed to fostering a unique school culture through professional development and coaching.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with lead teacher to create an optimal learning environment.
Assist in classroom instruction and management.
Implement lesson plans and reinforce learning materials individually or in small groups.
Support school and class rules to uphold scholarly behavior.
Assist with record-keeping and progress monitoring.
Provide targeted interventions for students facing challenges.
Collaborate with special educators to implement student supports and accommodations.
Maintain communication with families and attend meetings as needed.
Contribute to student success plans and universal screening efforts.
Support classroom organization and administrative duties.
Reflect on feedback to enhance support for students.
Substitute for teachers during absences and supervise lunch and recess duties.
Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure a safe learning environment.
Required
Job Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of college education.
Experience working with children.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a professional team.
Strong oral communication skills.
Flexibility in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
Preferred
Bachelor's degree.
Background in Early Childhood, Elementary, ESL, or Special Education.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish, Haitian Creole, or Cape Verdean Creole.
Compensation
Salary commensurate with experience.
