General Job Description
You will play a crucial role in nurturing the social, emotional, physical, linguistic, and cognitive development of infants and toddlers. You will create a safe and stimulating educational environment both indoors and outdoors, setting individualized goals for each child and conducting ongoing assessments of their progress. Engaging parents in their child's development is a key aspect of your role. Additionally, you will participate in professional development activities, including potential university credentials.
Responsibilities
Provide direct educational support to a cohort of youth.
Maintain cultural sensitivity and awareness for each child.
Focus on educational interventions based on initial assessments.
Accompany and supervise educational field trips.
Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions.
Travel occasionally within the United States, ages 14 and under, as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience And Requirements
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Child Development with a focus on Infant and Toddler Development.
Minimum of two (2) years of successful experience as an infant/toddler teacher or caregiver.
Basic Computer Skills Required.
State certification necessary.
Must possess a Valid Driver's License, Personal Vehicle, and Liability Insurance.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
Preferred Experience And Requirements
Familiarity with Early Childhood Education models and standards.
ESL (English as a Second Language) certification.
Master's degree in Education is a plus.
Working Conditions
This position requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, and the ability to push/pull up to 50 pounds horizontally. You must be able to sit on the floor, bend, kneel, or stoop approximately 75% of the time.
Salary
$25.70 per hour
