Currently have an immediate need for a Tax Manager near Richmond, VA. This is a hybrid role with a rapidly growing accounting firm.

Duties

  • Interface with internal and external business partners to maintain a unified approach to tax management.
  • Manage audits, overseeing the gathering, analysis, and reporting of data to management and business partners.
  • Recommend, manage implementation, and oversee adherence to process improvement strategies.
  • Manage, prepare, and ensure compliance for domestic, international, local, state, federal, and/or franchise income, sales and use, and/or property tax returns.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual filings, including estimated payment calculations.
  • Conduct tax saving analyses, ensuring the proper application of exemptions, claims, credits, abatements, and other tax-favorable methods.
  • Field standard to complex inquiries from internal and/or external business partners and clients.
  • Assist with the implementation and monitoring of quality control procedures, emphasizing accuracy and compliance.
  • Stay updated on current laws, rules, and regulations related to taxes and their impact on the organization.
  • Directly coach, train, and supervise employees, fostering personal and professional development.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field
  • 4+ years of related tax accounting/analytical experience
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Proficient in utilizing financial reporting and tax accounting systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
