Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Talent Development, Director to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in architecting and executing our talent strategy, focusing on the end-to-end performance management and talent development lifecycles.

The qualified candidate will act as a thought leader in the field of talent management, staying abreast of industry trends and best practices, providing guidance to internal stakeholders while managing a small team who will support the execution of our programs/offerings.

Responsibilities:

Identifies key organizational capability requirements and integrates them into short and long-term Development strategies that are aligned with the overall organizational strategy.

  • Architect end-to-end program design and development for business-specific and enterprise talent management solutions to ensure programs support our culture and organizational objectives.
  • Direct the performance management lifecycle, including goal setting, performance evaluations, feedback mechanisms and quarterly career conversations to align to PTC culture and pay for performance philosophy.
  • Ensure effective execution on performance cycle; aggregate and analyze results to understand performance themes which provide insight into development programs/offerings.
  • Leverage technology solutions that simplify and enable performance outcomes.
  • Build and support the talent review and succession management processes, consult on ongoing development and planning efforts.
  • Establish and maintain a robust career framework that aligns with the organizational goals and individual aspirations, partnering closely with our HRBP’s, Compensation and business leaders to design, deliver, and maintain.
  • Partner with PTC leaders and key stakeholders to define leadership behaviors and competencies necessary for success at various levels within the organization.
  • Design and execute development programs, experiences, and solutions to enhance capabilities to drive organizational effectiveness while monitoring stakeholders and measuring success.
  • Serve as an advisor to diagnose talent management needs, translating the business need into solutions and drive implementation efforts.
  • Enable HRBPs and managers on talent development and performance management programs to drive application in the business.
  • Build systems and processes to monitor, track and measure success.
  • Responsible for driving process improvement within a fast-paced environment while demonstrating business impact of talent initiatives.


Skills, Experience and Knowledge:

  • Strategic thinking and leadership capabilities
  • Drive cross functional alignment to move decisions forward.
  • Possess strong business acumen and organizational awareness.
  • Ability to lead through ambiguity.
  • Collaborative and consultative approach to implementing and improving people programs and processes to support the business.
  • Demonstrated ability to create strategies, practical approaches, and offerings to drive development objectives.
  • Exceptional skills and experience with program design, and project and program management.
  • Excellent communications skills with the ability to create a story using data and research to influence decisions.
  • High degree of ownership and is results oriented.
  • Experience in performance management systems; preferably Workday.
  • Certification in talent management or executive coaching (SHRM- SCP, ICF) is a plus


Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in the talent management and learning and development space with a strong focus in organizational development.
  • Bachelors of Arts and Science; Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development or related field. Master’s degree preferred (MBA, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field preferred)
  • Extensive experience in program design and implementation
