Job location is listed as Des Moines, Iowa, however, this role is home-office based with travel for recruitment and company events in support of our teams in Iowa and Nebraska.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for supporting the Talent Acquisition department beginning-to-end in the recruiting process; playing a support role in planning and executing recruiting initiatives, updating candidate data in applicant tracking systems, and coordinating various activities between candidates, schools, hiring managers, and recruiters.

  • Maintains the candidate’s relationship from inquiry stage through final offer letter ensuring a top-level candidate experience.
  • Handles all candidate interactions with respect, professionalism, and timely communication.
  • Evaluate and screen resumes and cover letters with a critical eye for detail.
  • Source candidates by using databases and social media consistently.
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates, hiring managers.
  • Maintains a complete accurate record of in recruiting data base.
  • Utilize recruiting tools to assess candidate’s skills.
  • Proofreads all written communication to candidates and managers for accuracy of information.
  • Maintains a high level of communication at all times with Director on status of openings.
  • Stays actively involved with current recruiting methods.
  • Attend job fairs and careers events.
  • Assist Talent Acquisition Director with projects, as necessary.
  • Uphold a strict level of confidentiality.
  • Develop and sustain a level of professionalism among staff and candidates.

Requirements

What You Bring

  • 3 to 5 years of full-cycle recruitment to fill entry level positions in education, social services, health care
  • Available for travel to support recruitment events throughout Iowa and Nebraska; other areas when needed
  • Partnerships with local resources
  • Success in establishing candidate relationships from application through joining LAC to ensure top-level candidate experiences
  • Experience working in an Applicant Tracking System
  • Ability to be effective in a team environment with a blend of onsite and offsite team members
  • Detail oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Assertive and proactive, positive attitude, always willing to learn
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with numerous individuals
  • Actively involved with current recruiting methods including social media and career events
  • Able to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficient user of MS Office
  • College degree or equivalent experience
