Systems Engineering Manager

Job Description:

Team Leadership and Management:

• Lead and mentor a team of system engineers and operations staff
• Oversee day-to-day operations, including task assignment, managing backlog of efforts and prioritizing implementation, performance management, and professional development
  
  

Infrastructure Management:

• Design, implement, and maintain Exchange, Active Directory, Web Services, and SharePoint environments
• Ensure high availability, security, and performance of these critical systems
• Implement and manage monitoring and alerting solutions for proactive issue resolution
  
  

Operational Support:

• Provide operational support for Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments
• Manage desktop patching schedule and imaging processes to ensure efficient deployment and maintenance
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to VDI, desktop environments, and system integrations
  
  

Project Management:

• Lead infrastructure projects from planning through execution and deployment
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are achieved within scope and budget
• Documentation and Compliance:
• Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation, operational procedures, and policies
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree and 20 years of experience OR HS/GED and 25 years of Experience
• DOD 8570 Certification is Required (If not held, must obtain within 6 months of start date)
