Brief Description

Zywave is currently looking for a Systems Engineer to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for designing, installing, configuring, and maintaining an enterprise-class IT systems infrastructure supporting both corporate users and Zywave clients. You will plan, design, analyze, maintain and provide technical support for entire enterprise in a hosted, cloud and local environment as well as function as a technical liaison to product development teams. You will conduct research and evaluation of IT systems and make recommendations for improvement and innovation as well as design the deployment and management of end user compute resources. You will be responsible for integrating automation of processes with Terraform to continuously streamline processes as well as continually learn new and existing systems.

As the Systems Engineer, you will design, implement and support a wide range of Microsoft systems including Hyper-V, Active Directory and Microsoft Systems Center products as well as design, implement and support a wide range of Microsoft cloud technologies including Azure Cloud Hosting and Microsoft365 technologies. You will be responsible for implementing and supporting Windows based systems of server grade and desktop OS levels through SCCM and Intune as well as write and modify scripts to manage and maintain Zywave systems using PowerShell. You will assist in managing enterprise GPO and OS management and assist in managing enterprise grade Storage infrastructure. You will improve business processes in coordination with Zywave stakeholders and development product families and innovate IT processes while continually adopting new technology for a fast-paced SaaS company. You will analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot problems in proprietary Zywave systems and coordinate maintenance with the appropriate support provider or vendor. You will also design and upgrade solutions based on enterprise concepts including resiliency, security and manageability as well as document server and network problems and resolutions for future reference. In addition, you will need to provide off-hours support as needed to support product updates, equipment upgrades, and address technical issues.

Factors for Success

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science plus at least 2 years of systems design/implementation experience or equivalent combination of education and technical experience
  • Experience in enterprise imaging and patching software, Microsoft SCCM, Intune, or similar.
  • In-depth understanding of Microsoft servers and management tools and virtualization technologies
  • Proven ability to understand and design how different system layers (application, web server, network) work together and will interact.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft operating systems
  • Knowledge in the following systems is a plus:
    • Linux OS / Kubernetes / InTune / JAMF / MacOS
    • Terraform / AWS Hosting / Azure EntralD Management
