Participate in product packaging design teams, performing design functions, troubleshooting, analysis, and technical writing.
Analyze design, process, and test development problems and recommend/implement solutions.
Prepare and present project updates and technical discussions both orally and in writing.
Write and approve protocols and reports.
Manage testing outlined in protocols and test methods.
Develop and manage validation studies on equipment and processes in an on-site packaging lab.
Maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers and support staff.
Initiate new or revised documentation and track through appropriate approval cycles and implementation in PLM systems.
Understand and follow company procedures and regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement procedures and policies.
Must-Have Skills
CAD Experience: Proficient in SolidWorks for creating part files and drawing files.
GD&T: Strong understanding and implementation of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
PLM System: Experience with initiating and managing process change orders in a PLM system like Agile.
Project Management: Ability to meet delivery expectations, forecast roadblocks, and manage projects effectively.
Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Time Management: Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Specification Authoring: Ability to write material and purchasing specifications.
Qualifications
Experience: 2-5 years of SolidWorks experience in creating parts and drawing files with a solid grasp of GD&T.
Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with diverse team members.
Technical Writing: Strong technical writing skills for documentation.
Presentation Skills: Proficient in oral and written presentations.
Sensing and Measurement Technologies: Familiarity with various technologies (thermocouples, photoelectric sensors, vision systems, lasers, etc.).
Manufacturing Processes: Knowledge of processes such as machining, injection molding, additive manufacturing, sheet metal work, welding, etc.
Product Verification: Experience in product verification through test equipment development and validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) in regulated industries like medical devices, pharmaceuticals, aerospace, etc.
Documentation Control: Experience with documentation control systems.
Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering with 3-5 years of experience in design and analysis within the medical device or another design-intensive industry.
