Role: Systems Engineer I

Location: Columbia, MD

Duration: 5 Months

Work Schedule: 9-5 with 1-hour lunch

Responsibilities

  • Participate in product packaging design and troubleshooting
  • Analyze and solve design, process, and test development problems
  • Prepare and present project updates and technical discussions
  • Write and approve protocols and reports
  • Manage testing and validation studies in the packaging lab
  • Maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Initiate and track documentation through PLM systems
  • Follow company procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement procedures and policies

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of SolidWorks experience with GD&T
  • Strong technical writing and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with sensing/measurement technologies (e.g., thermocouples, photoelectric, vision, laser)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal, welding)
  • Experience in product verification and equipment validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) in regulated industries
  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering with 3-5 years of design and analysis experience

Must Have Skills

  • SolidWorks CAD experience for creating part and drawing files
  • Proficiency in GD&T
  • Experience with PLM systems (Agile) for process change orders
  • Project management skills, including meeting delivery expectations and forecasting roadblocks
  • Effective communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • Experience in writing material and purchasing specifications
