Systems Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Systems Analyst with a knowledge of Product Management for our client in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This is a contract position through the end of the year 2024.

The ideal candidate will combine their expertise in systems analysis with practical experience in product development and management. You will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between technical solutions and business needs, ensuring the successful delivery of innovative products that meet the demands of our customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize your experience as a Systems Analyst to analyze and understand complex systems and processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritize requirements, translating business needs into actionable product features and enhancements.
• Serve as the liaison between development teams, stakeholders, and end-users, facilitating communication and ensuring alignment throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Create detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and other documentation to guide development efforts, leveraging your technical expertise and product management skills.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and quality assurance analysts, to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.
• Use Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, to drive the iterative development process, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential gaps in the market, informing product strategy and roadmap prioritization.
• Monitor product performance and user feedback, leveraging data-driven insights to inform product enhancements and optimizations.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in product management, continuously seeking opportunities to improve processes and methodologies.
  
  

Required skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Systems Analyst, with a deep understanding of software development processes and methodologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools, such as JIRA, Confluence, and Agile frameworks.
• Certification in Agile or Product Management is a plus.
