Role Summary

The Systems and Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for analyzing, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining and repairing the IT systems locally in Austin and on a wider scale throughout the United States. The Administrator will perform a wide variety of evaluation, maintenance, installation and training tasks to ensure the computer infrastructure performance meets Integreon’s and client satisfaction. The Engineer also provides direction, information, and recommendations regarding server, network and endpoint configurations and installations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our Austin location as part of a US wide team supporting the infrastructure and user base in a fast paced, high demand and dynamic environment

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Management of the US server environment, physical and virtual.
  • Supervising the administration of systems and servers related network to ensure availability of services to authorized users.
  • Management and maintaining the uptime of both network/server and userbase endpoint technologies where applicable.
  • Managing assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.
  • Configuring and installing client and server network software for upgrading and maintaining network and telecommunication systems.
  • Being able to design and implement both server and network related technologies.
  • Responding to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel and outside vendors etc. to provide technical assistance and support
  • Troubleshoot LAN and WAN connectivity problems with internal and external customers.
  • To maintain and creating Virtual LANs and Access Control Lists on switches, routers and firewalls for secure access to data on servers and secure Internet.
  • To maintain records and documentation as required by internal ISO and Information Security Management Systems 27001.
  • Assists high level management in reviewing overall plans and identifying gaps and needed tasks.

  • This position must have the ability to multi-task and oversee multiple projects at any given time, as well as perform accurately under time pressures and constraints. This position will also need to maintain confidential information and work in a fast paced, dynamic and creative organization.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees and customers in a friendly and professional manner. Good listening skills and tact are essential.
  • This position must also show initiative and good judgment, functioning well under pressure, able to switch gears on a moment’s notice as well as the ability to concentrate in an environment of multiple demands and distractions.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness.
  • This position also requires skills of a detailed oriented, well-organized, self-motivated, problem solver who can work independently.
  • This position must possess the ability to consider the big pictures of things, and think abstractly to consider all aspects of a situation and items that may be affected.
  • Ability to work autonomously and without supervision within a fast paced, dynamic and creative organization.
  • Customer service oriented, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness at all times.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of IT Service Management
  • Good understanding of hardware (Lenovo/Dell) & system (Microsoft) support
  • Microsoft server roles and responsibilities. DNS, DHCP, Active Dir, GPMC
  • Understanding and troubleshooting exposure to network protocols and operations
  • Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop.
  • Microsoft Office 365 a distinct advantage.
  • Exposure to Azure Active Directory a distinct advantage.

Education & Experience

  • The candidate should have 4-6 years of IT experience along with degree level graduation in computer science or comparable education.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be accepted.
