Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Systems Administrator to join our IT team. As a Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, security, and optimal performance of our IT systems and networks. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting our hardware, software, and related infrastructure to meet the needs of our organization.

Roles And Responsibilities

• System Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and software applications to ensure reliable operation and security.
• Network Administration: Manage and troubleshoot network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs; ensure network connectivity and performance.
• Security Management: Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems, networks, and data from unauthorized access, breaches, and cyber threats.
• Backup and Disaster Recovery: Set up and manage backup and recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and business continuity in case of system failures or disasters.
• Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor system performance, analyze resource utilization, and optimize system configurations to achieve maximum efficiency and reliability.
• User Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users; resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
• Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and policies; ensure compliance with IT policies and regulatory requirements.

Skills And Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience (X years) as a Systems Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role in managing IT systems and infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Windows and/or Linux server environments, virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, security principles, and best practices.
• Experience with system monitoring tools, backup and recovery solutions, and ITIL frameworks is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
