Key Responsibilities:
System Design and Management: Design, manage, and support the Microsoft Server environment, including Exchange, SQL, AD, DNS, DHCP, SCCM, and SharePoint, as well as other Windows and Linux servers.
VMware Infrastructure: Manage the VMware infrastructure and storage across multiple locations, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
Innovative Technologies: Introduce and implement new and innovative technologies and ideas to enhance business operations.
Documentation and Configuration: Maintain thorough documentation and configuration control of systems to ensure high availability and compliance with security standards.
Security and Compliance: Oversee security standards, patch management, business continuity/disaster recovery, and capacity planning. Perform daily maintenance and monitoring tasks.
Installation and Configuration: Install and configure various system hardware and software components.
Systems Thinking: Maintain a holistic view of the system's architecture while managing individual components.
Support and Escalation: Provide after-hours and on-call coverage for IT systems and serve as a tier 3 escalation point during off-call weeks.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience managing VMware, NetApp, and Microsoft Backoffice environments is required.
Certifications: Applicable professional certifications are highly desirable.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline is highly desirable.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with VMware, Veem, Citrix, storage systems (SAN, NAS), application performance troubleshooting, and secure file transfer solutions. Experience with Microsoft Cloud Services, including Microsoft Arc Windows Patching automation and application vulnerability management, is required.
