System Analyst

EXEMPT POSITION: ESSENTIAL POSITION PURPOSE

Provide professional functional and/or programming support for a large multi facility healthcare organization. Positions at this level apply extensive and advanced principles, theories and concepts and may contribute to the development of solutions to complex problems that require innovation and ingenuity. Acts as a system expert or business consultant on complex projects or system for a large multi facility healthcare organization. Manage small to large projects. Addresses topics and issues that are both strategic (long term) and operational (immediate) in nature. Formulates systems scope and objectives and resolves complex technical issues. Ensures that improvements in and/or changes to operations are implemented and monitored to increase efficiency. Provides technical and operational guidance to ensure that installed systems are working successfully and proposed systems will meet organization's future needs. Acts as a source and mentor for direction, training/skills development and guidance for less experienced departmental staff. May be assigned a lead role to assist management in short or long term management needs.

KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS Build and sustains effective working relationships with a wide range of internal and external contacts, vendors, and stakeholders on behalf of Providence Health and Services. Work collaboratively with colleagues across PHS on cross departmental projects and efforts to and identify value added opportunities. Build appropriate relations through support and involvement of systems across internal teams, ministries and departments. Proactively engages customers and stakeholders on value added, cost saving and other progressive opportunities.
