ECC is seeking candidates for a System Administrator I position in the Denver area, with a hybrid work arrangement (office and work from home). This position primary responsibility is to support and maintain the Company’s in-house IT systems equipment, communication links and related networks while providing excellent customer service. ECC is seeking candidates for a System Administrator I position in the Denver area, with a hybrid work arrangement (office and work from home). This position primary responsibility is to support and maintain the Company’s in-house IT systems equipment, communication links and related networks while providing excellent customer service. In this position, you will:
- Planning, developing, installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading hardware, software and other related equipment or systems while ensuring optimal performance.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Office 365 applications, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Azure.
- Support end-users with Office 365-related issues and provide training when necessary.
- Administer VMware environments, including virtual machine provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Troubleshooting issues (in person or remotely) in a timely and accurate fashion and provide client training and assistance where required.
- Manage servers and their associated services, operating systems and hardware.
- Manage security solutions, including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems.
- Manage all network infrastructure hardware and equipment, including routers, firewalls, switches, and UPSs.
- Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of client workstation hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Ensure network connectivity of all workstations and servers.
- Administer all upgrades for equipment and software.
- Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts
- Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services.
- Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
- Administer and maintain client accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Perform server and security audits.
- Perform system backups and recovery.
- Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
- Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
- Maintain compliance with all IT Policies and Procedures
- Attend regular staff meetings and participate in other IT related activities, such as training seminars or trade show events.
- Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization.
- In addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position.
- Familiarity with VMware vSphere/vCenter environments and virtualization technologies.
- One year supporting Office 365 / Azure.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of system administration (Windows/Linux), including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- One year of working with Microsoft Windows desktop OS, Microsoft Office Suite
- One year troubleshooting current PC hardware, including Lenovo laptops and peripherals.
- Knowledge of system administration tools and methodologies.
- Education: This position requires an associate degree in an Information Technology related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.
