System Administrator

Summary:

Responsibilities include system design, implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting, user support, and documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Define and deploy systems, including hardware/software installation, operations management, and support.
• Install software, apply patches, manage file systems, monitor performance, and resolve issues.
• Support Windows, Exchange, VMware, SAN/NAS storage solutions, and various databases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve LAN issues (TCPIP, WINS, DNS, VPN).
• Support onsite and remote users, including Active Directory, desktop/server support, MS Office, antivirus, and help desk tickets.
• Create and maintain network and system documentation.
• Provide training for supported software and hardware systems.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of professional systems maintenance in a data center.
• Strong experience with Windows, VMware, scripting, and shell programming.
• Knowledge of IIS, Apache, Active Directory, and network systems.
• Experience with VMware, SQL databases, Symantec end-point protection, and LAN systems.
• MCSE/MCSA, Cisco, and ITIL certifications.
