System Administrator

We are seeking a Systems Administrator who will be dedicated to maintaining and optimizing our company's IT infrastructure. In this role, you will ensure the high availability and performance of our systems, contributing to the seamless operation of our technology services. Successful candidates will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

What you'll be doing:

  • Ensure the stability, integrity, and operation of all systems by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network software, hardware (endpoints), and operating systems
  • Report and respond to system downtime and performance issues
  • Conduct analysis, including planning, designing, and evaluating, on a variety of information technology tools
  • Analyze business processes and make recommendations based on efficiency and/or user experience
  • Manage security solutions, including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion protection systems
  • Perform scheduled tasks such as system audits, user access and security, onboarding, and offboarding
  • Participate in IT projects to drive technological efficiencies
  • Influence and develop new designs, architectures, standards, and methods for large-scale distributed systems
  • Engage in service capacity planning, demand forecasting, software performance analysis, and system tuning
  • Address incidents, requests, and enhancements to various integrated IT systems
  • Communicate effectively across the organization, ensuring that all technical needs and issues are promptly addressed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Skills & Experience:

  • 1+ years of experience in a systems administrator role
  • Knowledge of operating systems and cloud-based architecture
  • Understanding of security protocols, firewalls, and basic intrusion detection/prevention systems
  • Experience in setting up and managing backup solutions
  • Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues
  • Experience with Google Enterprise Admin, Azure Admin, and ServiceNow preferred but not required.
  • Exposure to Azure or other cloud platforms.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar field

-OR-

  • Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar field plus IT certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA

Note: Base salary range is $60,000 USD to $80,000 USD. This range represents the expected compensation for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range when taking into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to location; skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
