We are offering a contract-to-hire employment opportunity for a dedicated Receptionist situated in TUSKEGEE, Alabama, 36088-1600, United States. This role is integral to our team, with a focus on managing the IT department's phone system and help desk tickets. The successful candidate will also interact with parents and students who visit the office.
Responsibilities
Answering inbound calls promptly and professionally, serving as the first point of contact for the IT department.
Efficiently managing and logging help desk tickets in the ServiceNow application.
Taking detailed notes on issues and filing them systematically for future reference.
Providing exceptional customer service when dealing with parents, students, and other office visitors.
Utilizing Microsoft Office Suites to maintain records, draft communications, and perform other administrative tasks.
Collaborating with the IT department to resolve support tickets and ensure smooth operations.
Liaising with different departments and staff to facilitate communication and problem resolution.
Contributing to a welcoming and organized office environment.
Requirements
Proven experience in Receptionist Duties within a Higher Education setting
Proficiency in answering inbound calls and providing exceptional customer service
Familiarity with ServiceNow Application for managing service desk tickets
Experience in handling and resolving support tickets in a timely manner
Strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with diverse groups
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
