The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Product Management is responsible for a company's product strategy and management. They lead the product team, ensuring products meet the needs of the organization's members and clients, and that they align with the company's business goals. This role involves a combination of strategic collaboration, project and personnel management, and hands-on implementation.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Product Strategy: Developing a product strategy that aligns with business goals, customer needs, and market opportunities
Product Management: Overseeing the development and management of the product portfolio, including conceptualization, planning, development, testing, and launch
Team Management: Leading the product team and managing the design team and project operations
Customer Focus: Considering the customer at every stage of product development and representing the customer within the organization
Communication: Ensuring the entire company understands the product vision and direction, and communicating and reinforcing that strategy across teams
Market Trends: Identifying, capturing, and forecasting key market and industry trends, and translating them into customer requirements and solutions
Conflict Resolution: Facilitating executive-level conflicts, often identified by directors and line PMs
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE & REQUIREMENTS
Significant experience leading custom software development. Significant hands-on experience preferred.
Demonstrated experience working with business executives to establish and influence corporate business and product strategy.
Significant experience leading and executing a technology strategy that delivers on business strategy/objectives with demonstrated financial growth to the organization.
Demonstrated ability to manage large team (team of team) performance, career and professional development.
Demonstrated ability to understand business processes, set product direction and oversee successful PDLC.
Strong skills in stakeholder management and internal evangelism of product principles.
Track record of identifying, recruiting, and retaining talent.
Demonstrated knowledge of agile software development techniques and fluency in software languages, APIs, hardware/software platforms, and conceptual knowledge of architecture standards.
Demonstrated problem solving ability that drives operational excellence .
Education & Experience Requirements
Minimum years of work experience: 10+ years in related field preferred.
Minimum level of education or education/experience: Bachelors or equivalent work experience in Computer Science or related field

The hiring range for this position is $260,000 to $287,930 per year. The actual base pay offered will consider candidate’s geographic location, job related knowledge, experience, and skill amongst other potential factors. There may be a bonus or commission, and/or a long-term incentive that will be provided as part of the compensation package, along with medical, financial and/or other benefits, depending on the level and position offered.
