SVP of Engineering

Commercial Insurance.Net LLC d/b/a Tivly / St. Petersburg, Florida / SVP of Engineering. Duties: Responsible for leading the architecture and development of a modern software stack while providing expert guidance and mentorship to a dynamic team of software developers and technology staff; providing strategic direction and technical leadership to the software engineering teams; collaborating with executive leadership to align software development initiatives with the company's overall business goals; advising and executing a roadmap for technology and software development; identifying areas for innovation and improvement; ensuring that software development practices adhere to industry best practices, coding standards, and security protocols; driving continuous improvement in software development processes, tools, and technologies to enhance team efficiency and product quality; fostering a strong focus on software testing, quality assurance, and scalability to deliver reliable and high-performance products; collaborating with product management, design, and other departments to understand product requirements and ensure successful product delivery; working closely with DevOps, infrastructure, and IT teams to streamline software deployment and ensure a seamless integration of software solutions; identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with software development and deployment; ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and data security policies; providing regular updates and reports to executive leadership on software development progress, challenges, and achievements; and communicating effectively with key stakeholders, including executives, clients, and partners, to build strong relationships and drive collaboration. Must have a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field, or foreign equivalent, along with 10 years' progressive experience in software engineering leadership roles with a track record of successful software product deliveries; identifiable technical background in software development; identifiable hands-on experience in software development; identifiable understanding of software development methodologies, best practices, and emerging technologies; and, demonstrated ability to align technical strategies with business objectives and drive innovation in software solutions.
