Role Summary

As the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development, you will lead mergers and acquisitions projects supporting our North America region, overseeing a significant portfolio of approximately $5 billion in revenues. This role offers considerable visibility and variability, requiring a commercially insightful, technically proficient, and well-rounded professional with extensive M&A experience. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with regional and business unit leadership teams to shape inorganic investment strategy and identify potential acquisition targets.
  • Manage the M&A pipeline for North America, ensuring effective prioritization and strategic alignment.
  • Cultivate relationships with potential acquisition targets, engaging with management teams and investors to facilitate productive dialogue and collaboration.
  • Provide strategic guidance to senior finance team members on financial projections, models, and scenario analyses.
  • Lead the development of comprehensive valuation models and analyses, exploring various deal structuring options to maximize value.
  • Participate in negotiations and review key legal documents, including definitive purchase agreements, to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Oversee the preparation of internal documentation for the deal approval process, including investment cases and presentations for Board-level review.
  • Coordinate due diligence processes with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring thorough assessment and risk mitigation.
  • Foster strong networks with investment banking contacts, potential targets, and internal business leaders to support ongoing deal sourcing efforts.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in M&A, Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or related financial roles, with a track record of successfully executing transactions of varying sizes and complexities.
  • At least 10 years of leadership experience, demonstrating the ability to mentor, manage, and develop teams effectively.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven negotiation skills and a solution-oriented approach to complex M&A transactions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, capable of engaging with C-level executives and influencing strategic decision-making.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Prior experience in financial technology, information services, or business services sectors preferred, with a strong network of industry contacts.
  • Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional, cross-regional teams through the entire M&A process.
  • Strong ability to formulate informed positions and influence internal and external stakeholders effectively.
