Role And Responsibilities

Under the leadership of the Executive President & Chief Investment Officer, the Senior Vice President of Acquisitions will lead the Acquisitions Department and will execute and implement Sila Realty Trust’s investment policy to acquire and manage healthcare real estate investments throughout the United States. The successful candidate will have the ability to think strategically as well as extensive experience in sourcing, negotiating, structuring and closing healthcare transactions.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Oversee the acquisitions process by providing input on desirable investment opportunities and optimal tactics to achieve investment objectives.
  • Develop, expand and maintain external relationships with key market participants such as investment sales professionals, institutional owners, developers and investors.
  • Actively solicit investment opportunities from market participants and communicate Sila Realty Trust’s equity investment objectives and parameters.
  • Evaluate new equity investment opportunities for fit with Sila Realty Trust’s equity investment criteria.
  • Source and identify new healthcare deals that meet the Company’s criteria
  • Establish and maintain relationships with owners, brokers, investors, and other industry colleagues to insure a consistent pipeline of suitable investment opportunities.
  • Reviews financial analysis/ modeling, appraisals, valuations, and cash flow projections for potential deals
  • Provide Company executive management with information regarding current market conditions, including supply, demand and competitor activity.
  • Collaborate with the acquisitions and investment management teams to achieve overall portfolio objectives.
  • Draft investment recommendations and present to the Executive Vice President & Chief Investment Officer
  • Mentor and develop junior team members

Qualifications And Education Requirements

  • At least 15 years of relevant healthcare, commercial real estate experience, and/ or investment banking
  • Bachelor’s degree is required with Business or Finance preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of real estate investment transactions and healthcare markets
  • Prior experience with real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and investment policy design and leadership
  • Prior experience with complex deal and lease negotiations

  • Proficient in MS Office with advanced Excel skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Must possess a high standard of professionalism and integrity.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet tight timelines.
  • Must have strong client service focus.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively including overnight
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with 3 days in office and 2 days remote.
