The Surgical First Assistant under the guidance of the primary Surgeon, is responsible for the care and treatment of patients in the Operating Room.
SHIFT: 6:30 am - 7:00 pm | Monday - Friday with call
Requirements
Graduate of an approved accredited program for surgical technicians or graduate of a military training program in surgical technology with a high school diploma or GED required
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire
Certified as a Certified Surgical Technician (CST)
Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited Surgical First Assisting Program (SFA)
Certified as a Certified Surgical First Assist (CSFA)
Physical Requirements
Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
