Surgery Scheduler

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Surgery Scheduler to join our team and represent the META brand's commitment to service, support, and professionalism. As the first point of contact for our company, the Surgery Scheduler will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for exceptional customer service and attention to detail. This is a dynamic and fast-paced role that requires a meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently handle a high volume of incoming calls and emails ensuring a courteous and professional demeanor. Schedule, cancel, and reschedule cases as needed, maintaining an accurate and up-to-date scheduling calendar.
• Monitor and communicate any urgent case changes or additions promptly to the relevant managers, technicians, and drivers to ensure a smooth operation.
• Input employee vacation and sick time into the calendar and update necessary databases with information on new doctors and hospitals.
• Transfer calls to the appropriate personnel, demonstrating a good understanding of the company's structure and functions.
• Confirm (via phone or email) cases for the following day to ensure preparedness and customer satisfaction.
• Fax finished same-day invoices as required and meticulously double-check and finalize all invoices from the previous day. Process and invoice Delivery Orders accurately.
• Be willing to assist with overflow from other departments, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
• Be prepared to handle additional duties and responsibilities as required to support the overall success of the organization.
• Take responsibility in the future for one on call week a month, ensuring consistent and high-quality service during this time.
• Rotate 6am-2:30 & 8:30am-5 shifts
  
  

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional phone manner.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, crucial for managing time-sensitive tasks efficiently.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced business environment, staying calm under pressure.
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with Excel and Adobe software applications.
• Previous receptionist, surgery scheduling or administrative experience is preferred.

Compensation

• $18-23 per hour; plus On Call bonus and OT pay
• 401k Profit sharing (3-4%)
