Supply Chain Specialist

Dagen Personnel is recruiting an IT Supply Chain Specialist for a global chemicals company in Central Houston.

This is a hybrid position (Tuesday - Thursday in office; Monday and Friday in office).

The IT Contracts and Negotiations Specialist within our IT Supply Chain organization based in Houston, Texas. The Contract Specialist is responsible for negotiating IT/technology-related contracts.

Essential Duties:

• Negotiate favorable terms and conditions in agreements for Professional Services, software licenses, SaaS/XaaS, data licensing , hardware, telecom, SOWs, Order Forms, etc. with selected contractors and vendors.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, such as technical leads and legal teams, to ensure that contracts align with project requirements and organizational policies.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in energy technology, industry regulations, and procurement best practices to ensure effective negotiations and contract management.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and risk mitigation in IT contracting.

Requirements:

• Five or more years of increasingly responsible experience in negotiation of agreement for IT Professional Services, Software-as-a-Service, Data, Software, Hardware and Telecommunications.
• Demonstrable experience as an IT Contractor Negotiator responsible for negotiating both “commercial” and “legal” terms with minimal supervision and with a strong track record of successful negotiations and contract management.
• In-depth knowledge of IT contracting practices, legal frameworks, and industry standards.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex technical requirements and translate them into contractual terms.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, supply chain, or information technology.
• J.D. is preferred.
• Proficiency in using contract lifecycle management software and tools.
