This role is essential in managing our inventory and production planning processes, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
What You'll Do
Analyze and Optimize: Gather, document, and analyze both qualitative and quantitative inventory data to provide insightful recommendations on inventory balance and production targets.
Collaborate and Communicate: Facilitate weekly and daily inventory planning calls with operational and service departments to meet key metrics.
Monitor Performance: Keep a close eye on key performance indicators within inventory, transportation, service, warehousing, and production units.
Innovate Solutions: Develop and coordinate intra-month supply trade-offs to hedge against inventory and service risks while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
Lead and Support: Take charge of production targets and capacity planning sub-processes, especially during our monthly strategic operations planning.
Manage Inventory: Oversee seasonal inventory storage location management, from onboarding to maintenance and offboarding.
Reconcile and Track: Support backlog and past-due load reconciliation and ensure compliance in lane tracking.
Drive Projects: Engage in ad-hoc inventory-focused projects and support continuous improvement efforts across all key metrics.
Your Skills And Qualifications
Tech-Savvy: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, are crucial.
Understanding of Supply Chain: Proficiency in capacity and inventory balance planning, inventory transactions, and tactical communication.
Knowledge Base: Intermediate understanding of strategic operations planning and the reusable packaging industry.
Basics Covered: Fundamental knowledge of transportation planning, demand planning, and operational cost strategy.
Extra Credit: Familiarity with SQL databases, PowerBI, and experience in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry and pallet industry are big pluses.
What We're Looking For
Educational Background: BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management, Warehousing, Logistics, Finance, or Data Science.
Experience: 1-3 years in a supply chain role is preferred.
Certifications: CSCP, CPIM, or CPM credentials are a plus, as well as LEAN/Six Sigma certifications.
Work Environment
Flexible Work Arrangements: 20% in-person and 80% remote after onboarding.
Global Collaboration: Be prepared to participate in conference calls during off-hours and occasional weekends to work with team members in different time zones.
Focused Work: Ability to sit for extended periods and manage extensive screen time.
Travel Requirements
Occasional Travel: Up to 15% travel, varying based on project activities and business needs.
