SUMMARY OF POSITION

We are seeking a self-starter and motivated individual with a passion for supply chain management and regenerative food ecosystems to join our growing Global Supply Chain team. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Supply Chain, the Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for successfully delivering best practices and excellence to the end-to-end supply chain at SIMPLi. The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the supply chain, including demand planning, supply management, inventory management, and procurement. They will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products to customers. The Supply Chain Manager will also analyze data and trends to optimize supply chain processes and make strategic decisions. This is a hybrid position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review inventory movements on a regular basis to ensure supply availability for forecasted demand and recommend procurement strategies to meet demand, highlighting areas of critical concerns.
  • Perform regular inventory analysis to review trends and areas of concern through reporting of sales data, production data and inventory movements.
  • Calculate key performance metrics to drive operational excellence throughout the supply chain through reporting.
  • Establish reporting, collaborate withlead S&OP/SIOP discussions with key stakeholders.
  • Responsible for MRP, production planning, capacity planning, vendor forecasts and issuing purchase orders on timely manner.
  • Spearhead initiatives to improve inventory position and end of life solutions including slow moving inventory, obsolete inventory, re-works and end of life strategy while minimizing inventory spoilage.
  • Drive supply chain impact by identifying areas of cost savings in production, warehousing, logistics, corrugate and execute a plan to reduce costs.
  • Create and Maintain SKUs for new items, including maintainance of UPC codes, item creation and logistics specifications.
  • Manage all inbound receiving documentation including out of specifications, claims, quality concers and inspection requirements.
  • Actively participate in new product initiatives including procurement, item creation and COGS support.
  • Review, analyse and negotiate new channels for procurement while assessing new suppliers, their competitiveness and their growth potential.
  • Lead new supplier and product RFQ process to support strategic decision making in supplier selection approval.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Service, Sales, Quality and Finance to execute strategies that have a substantial impact on the business, customers, quality and COGS.
  • Manage drayage transportation, inbound logistics, raw material movements, repacking, warehousing and other 3PL partners ensuring competitive cost.
  • Collaborate closely with International Logistics team to identify areas of improvements in service, cost and time.



QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or similar;
  • Experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, S&OP, SIOP, Materials Management, Inventory Management and end of month reconciliations.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Comfortable in working in an ambiguous, fluid work environment, managing fluctuating priorities.
  • 5+ years of Supply Chain, Inventory Management or Supply Planning; 1+ years working in a similar function for a Fortune 500 organization is preferred.
  • Previous experience in inventory planning, management, reconciliation, valuation, SLAs, supplier compliance, warehousing, logistics and S&OP/SIOP creation and execution.
  • At least 4 years of experience in working with food, raw material manufacturing, sourcing, material requirement planning, quality assurance and technical specification.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills; Ability to interact with wide variety of management level and complex business situations.
  • Demonstrated track record of year over year cost savings initiatives and improvement in the supply chain.
  • Ability to take ownership of processes, make decisions independently and escalate critical painpoints in a timely manner.
  • Advanced excel user with ability to create pivot tables, vlookups and other complex spreadsheet systems for data modeling and visual presentations.
  • Strong interest in start-up, regenerative food systems, sustainability and supply chain.
  • Proficiency in ERP and WMS systems; Netsuite is preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
