Supply Chain Manager

Job Summary: Client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Supply Chain Manager to oversee and manage the end-to-end supply chain operations for our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for logistics, planning, procurement, and the management of imported products, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective flow of goods from suppliers to customers. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a proven track record in supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:

Logistics Management:

• Oversee all logistics functions, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize transportation costs and improve delivery times.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards related to logistics operations.
• Manage relationships with logistics service providers and negotiate contracts to ensure competitive rates and service levels.

Supply Chain Planning:

• Lead the demand forecasting and supply planning processes to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products.
• Develop and maintain inventory management strategies to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to align supply chain activities with business goals.
• Utilize data analytics and supply chain software to enhance planning accuracy and efficiency.

Imported Product Management:

• Oversee the importation process of goods, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies to facilitate smooth import operations.
• Monitor and manage import duties, tariffs, and other costs to optimize financial performance.
• Ensure the timely and accurate documentation and reporting of all import activities.

Procurement:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to secure high-quality materials and services at competitive prices.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and negotiate contracts and agreements.
• Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular evaluations to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.
• Lead efforts to identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including supplier disruptions and geopolitical issues.

Leadership and Development:

• Provide leadership and direction to the supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Develop and mentor team members, promoting professional growth and succession planning.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration and communication to achieve organizational objectives.
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in supply chain management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of logistics, procurement, and import/export regulations.
• Proven experience in supply chain planning and demand forecasting.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software and data analytics tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset.
