Job Summary:

Nederman wants to deliver our products into customers’ hands as smoothly as possible. That’s why we’re looking for a skilled Supply Chain Manager to oversee planning, logistics and distribution. The right candidate will have an excellent problem-solving mindset and rigorous attention to detail, staying organized as they manage a large network of suppliers and distributors. The right candidate will also have a deep understanding of global supply chain networks and how to best balance cost and inventory on one hand vs. excellent customer service levels on the other. As this role interacts with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external, we also seek a person with excellent skills in communication both verbal and written.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Main interface for sales & operation planning
  • Collect and analyze demand forecast
  • Define requirements on production capacity, supplier base capability, inventory staging etc.
  • Evaluate and drive improvements for the global supply chain (make/buy, localization etc.)
  • Define supply chain KPI’s and drive performance improvements
  • Interface with Quality to ensure claim items flow in and back to the supply chain.
  • Initiate, confirm, and validate logistics processes.
  • Initiate and measure Inventory control, turns and cycles.
  • Contribute to positive morale for all individuals in the supply chain.
  • Be an integrated member of the Operations leadership team

Qualifications

Your Experience & Education

  • Minimum 8 years’ in a global supply chain and logistics context
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Post-Secondary Education, in Logistics or equivalent experience in Supply Chain management.
  • Intimate knowledge of distribution, logistics and supplier interfaces.
  • Knowledge of production processes and quality control.
  • Excellent math and analytical skills.
  • Time management and deadline focus is required.
  • Organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with all levels of employees.
  • Strong excel skills would be considered an asset.
  • Technical skills using material requirements planning and scheduling software.
  • SAP or IFS scheduling experience is required.
  • LEAN, 6 Sigma, Problem Solving accumen preferred.
