Supply Chain & Project Logistics Coordinator

ROLE SUMMARY:

As Supply Chain & Project Logistics Coordinator, the root focus is to assist in the limitation and reduction of transportation cost, with the goal to improve accuracy, customer service, and you will be responsible for communicating with vendors and shipping companies to ensure all deliveries arrive at their destination timely, and in accord to individual Project expectations.

You will work in coordination with DSCM, Design, Project Management, Operations, and Warehouse teams in the capacity of planning, estimating, pricing provisions, and route management.

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:

  • Attend planning and forecast meetings for project bid processes
  • Provide strategic supply chain Contact suppliers to ensure all orders were received and that deliveries will ship on time.
  • Review of purchase orders in accord with Supplier proforma, to ensure timeliness; and most importantly the company spend for transportation
  • Thorough and un-waivered communications with Freight Forwarders to…..
  • ensure port-pairs are best fit for project timelines
  • ensure bookings are properly executed, and approved
  • ensure transportation efficiencies are conducive to GV needs
  • Maintain constant contact with vendors and shipping companies while deliveries are in route
  • As required, upload new product information into ERP system, PM and SC Dashboards, including delivery dates, substitutions, and pricing
  • Notify Project Management and Procurement Management teams in a timely manner if any deliveries are going to be late for critical equipment/parts
  • Product and Inventory management communications with Warehouse and Operations Managers
  • Work with domestic transportation vendors; requesting rate indications, and dispatching orders for delivery to project sites
  • Work alongside DSCM in meeting with transportation vendors to discuss performance metrics
  • Assist in receipt of goods and tactical purchasing functions, as required
  • Participate in scheduled conference calls and/or meetings (in-person / virtual) to provide status reports
  • Additional duties as required by management

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 or more years’ experience in transportations, with knowledge of international, and domestic modes
  • Strong mathematical and logistics acumen, with ability to dissect freight characteristics
  • Detail oriented, with ability to dissect matters, and present a better game-plan
  • Professional in character, and both written and verbal attraction
  • Direct, decisive, and thorough in communications

EQUIPMENT & SYSTEMS KNOWLEDGE

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs
  • Proficient in the use of ERP systems
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain, Inventory and Procurement Process



ADA REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged period of sitting at a desk and working on computer
  • Must be able to lift 15- 20 pounds at a time ( sample boxes for client presentations)
  • Must be able to travel
  • Must be able to walk , climb stairs or stand for 45 minutes at a time
