Supply Chain Analyst
The Supply Chain Analyst analyzes data to optimize our end-to-end supply chain
operations. This role requires an analytical mind and strong business acumen. Problem-solving
skills and attention to detail are essential. Develop knowledge about the supply of products, formulating short- and long-term strategies to ensure quality and continuity of supply while minimizing cost. The ideal candidate will also have leadership skills to assist and advise in a start-up environment.
Experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, warehousing, or merchandising processes is preferred.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collect/Analyze outbound transportation cost data for profit/loss by department (Parcel, Rail, LTL, FTL, LCL, and FCL).
- Collect/Analyze inbound transportation cost data for Landed Cost Analyses. Tracking variations across product groups, geographies, and transportation market conditions.
- Utilize NetSuite MRP to evaluate historical demand, safety stock levels, and future supply requirements across all geographies.
- Enter and manage Purchase Orders and Internal Transfer Orders for all SKUs.
- Manage TRX’s HQ warehouse for all inbound, outbound, and basic product storage.
- Review, challenge, approve, and track incoming supplier and freight forwarder invoices.
- Item Master management; issuing new SKU/UPC; maintaining the accuracy of Master Packs and UOMs, weights/dims.
- Manage and support shipping documents for transportation partners as needed.
- Build and maintain key supply chain reports, i.e., inbound supply reports and backorder reports.
- Track and publish monthly Supply Chain Operations Dashboard reporting the health of 3PLs, Inventory, Customer Service, and Transportation.
- Develop and maintain cross-functional relationships with key decision-makers.
- Aide in project management functions to develop standardization and drive adherence to critical Supply Chain processes, systems, and functions.
- Help plan and implement future supply chain projects.
- Create standard work processes (SOPs) for all supply chain-related tasks, inputs, and outputs; establish systems and processes to measure compliance with the standards.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA Degree or equivalent work experience is desired (Supply Chain/Operations or Business Management is preferred).
- Minimum of 2 – 4 years experience in any of the following: Supply Chain/Operation/Project Management or equivalent area.
- Preferably has prior working knowledge and experience within the following Supply Chain related functions (Demand / Supply / Inventory / Production / Material / Capacity Planning / Warehousing / MRP and/or Optimization).
- Experience with warehouse operations and cost/price analysis.
- APICS certification preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
- Must demonstrate solid project management experience and leadership skills. Able to manage projects and teams to stay on task and deliver results on time.
- Strong leadership and communication skills are required. Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Must demonstrate a strong working knowledge of Supply Chain (inventory, logistics, and warehousing) processes and systems.
- Applicant must be able to work with multiple teams and functions to be effective and deliver lasting results.
- Candidate must be highly organized, analytical, and driven.
- Previous change management and continuous improvement skills are desired.
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills for interacting and collaborating with business partners throughout the organization.
- Problem-solving aptitude with the ability to think creatively.
- Advanced computer skills are required (IE, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and various web-based applications).
- Able to accommodate travel requirements of 0-10%.
