Supply Chain Financial Analyst
Location: Ellenton FL
Status: Exempt
Leeds Professional Resources is working with a client in the Ellenton area that is looking for a Supply Chain Finance Analyst. The Supply Chain Finance Analyst provides the financial insight into business performance drivers and prepares analysis providing the financial expertise and recommendations to their finance leadership and functional business partners that enable effective decision-making within the business.
Additional responsibilities include:
Lead period close and reporting process for Chilled Co- Packing including variance explanations to forecast, and plan.
Manage and update Period Close & Forecast model, helping to provide key insights and driver based analysis
Partner with Operations in maintaining and developing Field reporting providing financial insights and support to enable Operations partners to meet their financial objectives
Oversee Period Field reporting of Co Pack Performance along with insights and analysis of results
Over see wall to wall physical inventories a chilled Co-Pack sites.
Lead Annual AOP development by working closely with BU and Supply Chain Leadership to understand key trends, metrics and changes to the business for the upcoming year
Perform journal entries and other period close activities to ensure accuracy of reported financial results
Manage SOX Reporting requirements for the team
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance team's overall efficiency, depth of insight, accuracy, etc.
Perform and assist in performing ad-hoc analyses as requested to support innovation, cost savings, and other initiatives supporting the full brand portfolio
Tackle ambiguous problems to determine and prioritize business strategies
Ability to structure and prioritize tasks, and focus efforts in an ambiguous work environment
Demonstrated ability to implement short and long term strategies to support organizational operation and transformation
Professional Experience / Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in finance or accounting
2+ years of experience with exposure in any of the following areas: Supply Chain Operations & Analysis, Financial Analysis, forecasting and analysis, and/or evaluating business operations and investments
Comfortable with occasional travel throughout the year to support co-pack physical inventory (up to 30%)
Experience with forecasting, and budgeting, and financial modeling. Ability to preempt issues and deliver solutions as part of the forecasting process.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, and the ability to translate analytical findings into actionable solutions and processes
Results-oriented, innovative thinker and strong attention to detail with a focus on continuous improvement with ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
Excellent organization skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities working independently while keeping manager apprised of progress and issues
Strong interpersonal skills. Able to effectively communicate with Finance and Operations management and flex communication style based on the audience
Microsoft Excel skills
Strong foundation in the use of information systems and ability to learn / manipulate systems quickly with knowledge of SAP preferred
