Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized experience is defined as one year of specialized experience which includes: 1) conducting full range of complex law enforcement such as interviewing witnesses and interrogating suspects; 2) providing training and guidance on law enforcement regulations and procedures; AND 3) leading or supervising employees in the area of security or law enforcement. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08).

Job Description
- Directs, manages and supervises all law enforcement desk operations on an assigned shift.
- Reviews all law enforcement reports and supporting documentation to include substantiating charges for correctness, completeness, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Reviews journals, blotters, critical information reports, serious incident reports and other correspondence as necessary and disseminate them as required by standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Ensures proper receipt, processing and safekeeping of evidence in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintains communications with mobile patrol units, access control points, to pass direction and information to Police Officers.
- Develops employee performance standards.
- Responds to and investigates emergency calls, complaints and other calls for service.
- Performs required lifesaving first aid in the event of an emergency as the first responder to an incident until medical emergency personnel arrive.
