Supervisor, Operations - Shipping Center

Our Supervisor, Operations – Shipping Center plays a vital role in ensuring the highest quality and safety standards of our pharmaceutical product. Once you complete our training, your responsibilities will include supervising the warehouse technician in the shipping center and the oversight of finished products from receipt to customer shipments/processing. The Shipping Center is the entry point for receiving finished products from QuVa’s manufacturing sites as well as the distribution hub for shipment to QuVa’s customer base. The Supervisor will ensure personnel are using current Good Manufacturing Practices. What The Supervisor, Operations – Shipping Center Does Each Day

  • Supervises warehouse personnel including timecard approval, PTO requests, performance management, attendance, training adherence, and daily scheduling of resources
  • Oversees discrepancy and non-conformance inventory investigations, documents findings, determines root causes, and implements corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Responsible for all incoming, outgoing, and movements of product. Ensures finished products shipped and received are verified against proper documentation, and the ERP system is kept updated
  • Tracks Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, shipping errors (< 1/1000 lines), order accuracy, and inventory to ensure customer service agreements are met
  • Review and maintain accurate records and documentation related to logistics operations, such as shipping manifests, inventory records, and compliance documents
  • Ensures people and processes are in a continuous state of compliance with applicable regulation agencies, company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
  • Uses ERP System, Infor, to input data, and reference orders for picking
  • Responsible for training adherence for warehouse personnel
  • Develops and provides oversight to the identification and implementation of appropriate corrective actions and preventive actions
  • Documents, in a timely manner, all tasks requiring written records as specified in Standard Operating Procedures
  • Works with Sales and Operations to reduce the risk associated with product availability resulting from inventory inaccuracies and drives resolves of any unplanned inventory discrepancies
  • Supports warehouse management systems and technologies including barcoding, vendor management inventory techniques, Kanban systems, inventory reconciliation, and analysis methods in conjunction with warehouse layouts, equipment, personnel flow, and storage configurations to facilitate effective and efficient operations and space utilization
  • Performs ERP system transactions and exception-based reporting to achieve internal and external customer service and inventory management goals, managing tracking systems and acting as a liaison to other departments
  • Establishes and maintains required standards to ensure the environmental, health, safety, and security
  • Assists with the selection and hiring of warehouse technicians, train and coaches team members, and maintains performance management documentation
  • Maintains a contemporaneous working knowledge of cGMP requirements
  • Coordinates with approved service providers to ensure supplies, inbound deliveries, and outbound products are appropriately scheduled to meet daily and weekly outputs

    Minimum Requirements For This Role

    • A high school Diploma or GED
    • 3+ years’ experience working in a warehouse/shipping operation w/ 1+ years in a supervisory capacity
    • Successful completion of certified in-house qualification programs that cover at a minimum safe operation, maintenance, and inspection of Powered Industrial Trucks (Forklifts)
    • Able to successfully complete a drug and background check
    • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; QuVa is not able to sponsor applicants for work visas
