Job Title: Supervisor II, Laboratory (Lab)

Location: DeLand, FL

Duration: 12months

Job Description;

• Oversee the daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to protocols.
• Supervise lab staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Implement and maintain laboratory policies and procedures.
• Monitor lab performance, including quality control, test accuracy, and turnaround times.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure optimal functioning.
• Assist in budget preparation and management for the laboratory.
• Stay updated with advancements in laboratory techniques and technology.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Medical Technologist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory regulations, including CLIA, CAP, and OSHA standards.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in laboratory information systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
