Our client is a successful construction company looking for a Superintendent to join their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate
$120k – $160k
Position Overview
The Superintendent will oversee all field operations and manage subcontractors at the project site. The Superintendent will collaborate closely with the Project Manager and other team members to ensure project success.
Responsibilities Of The Superintendent
The Superintendent will coordinate all on-site construction activities among subcontractors and other project participants.
Ensure all work complies with construction documents and specifications.
Supervise and enforce project safety protocols, ensuring all site workers adhere to safety requirements and the project safety plan.
The Superintendent will evaluate the daily staffing levels of subcontractors and field workforce.
Monitor and manage the supply of materials and equipment, ensuring timely deliveries and preventing delays and material loss.
Contribute to the development of the project schedule, providing necessary information to create, monitor, and adjust the schedule as needed.
The Superintendent will collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and implement the site utilization program, site services, safety plan, and security arrangements for the project.
Track actual performance against scheduled performance, ensuring subcontractors meet workforce and time commitments.
Maintain a thorough understanding of the general contract requirements and ensure compliance.
Ensure all fieldwork is completed to high-quality standards and efficiently.
Prepare daily progress reports and lead weekly on-site safety meetings.
Qualifications For The Superintendent
Must be open to commuting to West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale sites as needed.
Minimum of 5 years of construction experience, with at least 3 years in a Project Superintendent role.
Strong organizational and leadership skills with a dedicated focus on safety.
Professional attitude with excellent communication skills, capable of maintaining positive relationships with inspectors, subcontractors, architects, and owner representatives.
In-depth knowledge of field supervision for layout, framing, MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing), and finish trades.
Strong judgment skills regarding drywall, paint, and other finish trades concerning construction quality.
Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local building codes.
Proven track record of maintaining safety standards in compliance with OSHA requirements and guidelines.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
