SECU is currently looking for qualified college students to join our 2024 Summer Internship Program. As an Intern, you will have significant learning opportunities on day-to-day projects in specific departments within SECU, while gaining exposure to the credit union and banking industry. Our Summer Internship Program will run approximately 10 weeks, starting on Monday, June 3, 2024. The ideal candidate must be able to work 32+ hours a week during core hours of Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00 pm. This position is mostly remote, but you will need to reside near to our Linthicum, Maryland office during the summer to attend internship program events.
We are seeking an intern for our Strategic Lending/Mortgage Programs department. This intern will:
Enhance current monthly QC reporting by leveraging ACE's QC software and other external data that would be used to report to senior management QC activity for mortgage, home equity and fintech loans.
Create a management level report set, detailing mortgage, home equity and fintech loan exceptions, trends, and defect rates, which would enable management to development action plans.
Use the SAP Business Object reporting tool embedded within the ACES platform, along with MS Word and Excel, to develop monthly reports such as executive summaries, exception tracking and trend tracking for mortgage, home equity and fintech lending.
Reports need to be easily replicated each month and sustained on a go forward monthly basis.
Other duties as needed.

Qualifications
Must be a rising junior or senior currently enrolled in an accredited institution with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Pursuing a degree with a focus in business, management, finance, economics, accounting or related major.
Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite applications
