Job Responsibilities
- Prospect and call potential customers
- First point of contact for phone and web inquiries, including basic applications support and referral to appropriate channels.
- Facilitate and manage product samples and technical document requests and capture all pertinent data. Manage process for potential sale.
- Power user of CRM SalesForce.com, daily interaction, logging all pertinent activity and customer notes, manager and updating pipeline.
- Understand the needs and the expectations of the customers. Report or provide relevant solutions if necessary.
- Work closely with cross-functional team to maximize short and long-term profitable growth.
- Channel and log suggestions, inquires and complaints to the appropriate people/systems.
- Market research and investigation to related competitive products and marketing strategies. Develop a clear understanding of how commodity futures markets influence pricing of products.
- Follow determined reporting structures and report compilation.
- Able to complete an internship in the summer (May/June-August 2024)
- Must be geographically flexible to relocate to ADM sites
- Pursuing a four-year degree in Sales, Business, Agriculture-related, or science related field with an anticipated graduation between December 2024 and Summer 2026
- Preferred GPA of 2.8 or greater
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Ability to function effectively, both independently and with a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to collaborate within various levels of an organization
- ADM requires the successful completion of a background check.
- Outgoing personality with eagerness to assist customers via phone, web, and trade shows
- Internships are 10-12 weeks in duration
- Interns are responsible for transportation to and from work
- Interns who demonstrate high potential and engagement may be offered another internship if still pursuing a degree, or a full-time position after graduation
- ADM requires the successful completion of a background check.
