The Bensalem Township School District is in need of individuals who are interested in working in our food service department on an as needed basis when school is in session. This position is perfect for someone who is available in the middle of the school day as you will be working to prepare and serve lunch to students at all levels in the district.
Substitute Food Service Workers do not have a regular schedule but work as needed when a staff members is absent. Substitutes can work in any of our nine (9) school buildings. Our kitchens are inspected periodically by governmental agencies such as the Department of Health so all workers must adhere to strict rules and procedures concerning food storage, handling, cooking and dispensing of food products. On the job training is provided. Substitute Food Service workers are often considered to fill regular vacant assignments as they become available.
