Substation Engineering Manager

*Please note we will only consider candidates who are experienced in subststaion design and management within the high voltage utility project space.*

Position Overview: We are seeking a Substation Engineering Manager with 20 years of experience in high voltage substation design and a minimum of 5 years managing teams of at least 10 professionals. The ideal candidate will hold a PE license (preferred) and be adept at driving both technical excellence and strategic initiatives within our Substation department. This is a remote position offering a base salary of up to $190k, plus bonus and stock options.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Substation department whilst identifying and implementing process improvements, tools, and technology advancements.
• Oversee client satisfaction, quality management, and project delivery.
• Lead high-visibility client projects, ensuring adherence to budget, productivity, and quality standards.
• Foster an environment of continuous learning and technical excellence.
• Develop and maintain key relationships with clients.
• Assist in the preparation and review of proposals, cost estimates, and marketing activities.
• Monitor and enhance client satisfaction and feedback on project performance.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• 20 years of experience in high voltage substation design.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing teams of 10 or more.
• PE license preferred.
• Proven track record of leading strategic projects and initiatives.
• Strong business development and client relationship skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
