Summary

Under indirect supervision, the Student Services Coordinator acts as a liaison between program activities and students, both on-site and remotely. They maintain detailed student records, collaborate with the community to achieve program goals, and support a team-oriented environment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Assist in recruiting and orienting students for programs.

Ensure timely preparation and administration of CASAS appraisals and tests.

Maintain communication with administrative offices and ensure timely submission of CASAS paperwork.

Provide on-site and remote support to students, offering stellar customer service.

Assist students with basic technical issues and represent various programs to the community.

Serve as a resource to inform the community about program activities and issues.

Analyze and monitor student recruitment, retention, and attendance.

Report weekly and monthly activity to the supervisor.

Manage physical and electronic student files in an organized manner.

Maintain relationships with external community organizations.

Initiate and oversee purchases and distribution of materials and supplies.

Facilitate student enrollment and registrations into programs.

Collaborate with staff to maintain a clean and organized site.

Ensure compliance with county health department regulations.

Collaborate with instructors to enhance the student experience.

Perform clerical duties and office maintenance to optimize site operations.

Manage food storage, rotation, and inventory for the National School Lunch Program.

Document and track distribution of technological devices to students.

Submit student enrollments, transcripts, and requests to appropriate departments promptly.

Qualifications

Effective time management abilities, capable of meeting deadlines.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and occasionally stressful environment.

Diplomatic and courteous in public interactions.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations professionally.

Education And Experience

High School Diploma or GED required.

AA Degree Or Some College Experience Preferred.

At least two (2) years of related experience preferred.

Travel Requirements

Must have a valid driver's license and personal automobile insurance.

Up to 25% travel required.

Language Skills

Bilingual in Spanish required.

Physical Demands

Requires frequent use of hands for handling and operating office equipment.

Regularly sits, stands, and reaches; occasionally walks and stoops.

Must lift and move up to 40 pounds occasionally.

Close vision required for detailed work on a computer.

Work Environment

May be exposed to outside weather conditions and electrical equipment.
