Strategic Overlay Account Manager

The Strategic Overlay Account Manager further develops PandaDoc’s existing largest customers by selling into other pockets of our strategic customers. This role identifies other organizations in our customers that can benefit from PandaDoc workflow solutions and converts them into expanded customer relationships. The account manager will partner closely with existing team account managers and overlay into new pockets of these organizations using a mix of building off existing relationships and outbound techniques. This manager will be the first hire for this new function and must be a strong solution seller who has a mix of customer relationship expertise plus a hunter mentality. They will be strong sellers who have a history of leveraging solution engineers, working with CSMs, and working in an account management team.

In This Role, You Will


  • Outbounds into existing customers to generate new pipeline
  • Close own pipeline into expansion bookings through consultative sales to grow share of wallet and account penetration
  • Develops account plans in conjunction with CSM and AMs
  • Develops own expansion cadences through SalesLoft


About You


  • 3+ years of Outbound Account Executive experience (preferably in the mid-market or enterprise)
  • 2+ years of Account Management / Expansion sales experience (preferably in the mid-market or Enterprise)
  • Relevant consultative/value-based selling experience in a SaaS organization
  • Experience with managing complex sales cycles, involving multiple stakeholders and buyer personas, with deals ranging from $10K-$100K+
  • Ability to handle multiple opportunities simultaneously at various stages of the buying process
  • Excellent communication skills both with customers and within an organization
  • Ability to develop senior-level relationships quickly and effectively
  • Work well with others, and are comfortable partnering with SEs, CSMs, and other internal business partners
  • Previous experience accurately tracking and forecasting a pipeline for all engagement and activity through the use of Salesforce as a CRM
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment and comfort with ambiguity
  • Self-starter with a bias towards action


It Would Be Awesome If You Had


  • Track record of quota attainment and outperformance (President’s club, consistent 80% YoY performance)
  • General business knowledge (through experience or education) + basic understanding of how companies work across various LOBs
  • Ability breaking into new departments within existing companies
  • Domain knowledge of on-demand/SaaS, CLM, and marketing software/solution sales experience
  • Past experience working in a start-up/scale up company

The annual OTE for this role is up to $200K ( Base + Variable at a 50/50 split).

The annual sales commission is uncapped in accordance with the relevant plan documents.
